Thank you and Happy New Year

Friday, December 31, 2022

Dear Colleagues;

At these final hours of the 2022, I want to thank you sincerely for your dedication, support and hard work during this past nervous transition year. With your help, we not only survived, but also thrived. Last Friday, I highlighted some of our programmatic successes of 2022. Thanks in no small measure to all your effort that makes it possible for us to fulfill our mission.

From external resource attainment perspective, in addition to all the significant state and private contributions that we received in 2022, last week I heard directly from Sen. Roy Blunt that through the $1.7 trillion Omnibus bill that passed the Senate and House and was signed by President Biden on Dec. 23, S&T will receive $36 million in federal funds for the projects listed below.

Not bad given that we don’t have a medical school, law school or agriculture school. We are truly grateful to Sen. Blunt for his trust and support of S&T.

It is with my profound gratitude for all your support in 2022, that I wish you a happy and prosperous 2023.
