Senior Office Support Assistant
Ashley Berry joined the chancellor’s office in 2014 and serves as receptionist, scheduling assistant to the chief of staff and office assistant to the chancellor. She earned a bachelor of science degree in agriculture technology from the University of Central Missouri. She is a volunteer for 4-H and the Phelps County Fair and lives on a farm with her family in rural Phelps County.
Connie Goodridge has more than 25 years of experience in the chancellor’s office. She is responsible for accounting, correspondence, special reports and projects. Goodridge is a Rolla High School graduate and attended Rolla Area Vocational School, where she studied secretarial/business practices. Outside of work, she serves as music director for her church. She enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Senior Office Support Assistant
Jan Greig joined the Chancellor’s Office in 2015. She is scheduling assistant to the chancellor; coordinates travel; event preparation; and assists with projects. In addition, she serves as backup for the executive assistant and reception area. She has almost 10 years of experience at Missouri S&T, and she loves to serve and make others feel welcomed. She enjoys time with her grandchildren, reading and learning new things.
Executive Director, Strategy, Planning and Assessment
Rose Horton joined Missouri S&T in 2014 as the strategic planning progress manager to help lead implementation of the university's strategic plan. She is responsible for managing the strategic initiatives process, oversees the campus innovation team and analyzes data and trends related to performance measures outlined in the strategic plan. She has more than a dozen years of experience in higher education, seven years of corporate management experience and 10 years of sales experience at various organizations. Prior to joining Missouri S&T, she served as senior director for ITT Technical Institute in Wichita, Kansas. She holds a bachelor of science degree in communications management and a master of science degree in administrative studies, both from Missouri State University. Horton is a Missouri native and enjoys spending time with her husband and son, a Missouri S&T graduate.
Elizabeth L. Smith
Chief of Staff
Chief of Staff Elizabeth L. Smith joined Missouri S&T in 2015. As chief of staff, she represents the chancellor’s office to a variety of constituents, including campus divisions and units, the general officers of the University of Missouri System, and community leaders. Prior to joining Missouri S&T, Smith served as executive director of the Hawthorn Foundation, which assists in the economic development work of the executive branch of Missouri state government. Previously, she served as executive director of the Rolla Regional Economic Commission and as project manager for the Missouri Department of Economic Development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and public law and a master’s degree in public administration, both from Northern Illinois University. She enjoys gardening and the many outdoor activities available in the Meramec Region.
